Partnership Highlights

Collaborative to the core.

Building trust and advancing health equity starts with authentic collaboration. I’ve worked across sectors to co-create programs and strategies that reflect community values and drive measurable impact. Here’s a snapshot of how strategic partnerships have shaped my work.

Examples of partnerships I have forged:

Workforce Collaboration:
Partnered with the City of Charlotte Fire Department (NC) to lead qualitative research informing cancer prevention programming. Designed and delivered a culturally responsive curriculum that educated all firefighters and servicemen. This was scaled across 2 states with over 5,000 firefighters educated.

Health System Partnerships:
Collaborated with Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute to translate qualitative research findings into an oncology-focused disparities curriculum for oncology physicians in fellowship. These materials are being used to train oncology fellows in culturally informed cancer care, improving provider competency and patient outcomes.

Civic & Social Engagement:
Established MOUs with national organizations such as Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., mobilizing their vast membership networks to expand health education and prevention initiatives tailored to African American communities.

Clinical Trial Advocacy Partnerships:
Worked directly with patients from underrepresented backgrounds to amplify their lived experiences with clinical research. These narratives have become powerful tools in humanizing trial education and cultivating trust in the research process.

Community-Based Organization Collaboration:
Partnered with Embrace All Latino Voices to disseminate disease specific training programs for community health workers. Together, we strengthened local capacity and delivered culturally aligned health education to Latino communities, driving engagement and sustainability.

Academic Partnership:
Fostered a strategic collaboration with the National Center for Engagement in Diabetes Research (CEDER) at NYU Langone to support its mission of advancing inclusive diabetes research nationwide. Identified opportunities for mutual support, and fostered collaboration leading to co-developing engagement strategies, identifying underrepresented voices to inform program design, and aligning efforts with broader health equity goals.
